Joe was born on August 11, 1967, in New Jersey. He is a stand-up comic, an actor, a TV host, and an expert in martial arts. He went to Newton South High School in Massachusetts, where he graduated in 1985. He’s a taekwondo black belt who won four Massachusetts State Championships and the United States Open Championship in 1986. In 1988, he withdrew from martial arts, citing health issues.

His friends at the taekwondo lessons inspired him to try his hand at standing comedy as he always making them laugh with his hilarious jokes.   After six months of rehearsals and training, in August 1988, he performed his first stand-up comedy at an open mic night at a Boston comedy club. While chasing his dream of being a stand up comedian, do, he also taught martial arts at Boston University and other casual work to make ends meet. He moved to New York City in 1990 to begin his professional comedy career. To be open to more possibilities, he moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1994 to be around the Hollywood elite that held the key to his hopes and dreams.

He first big deal and hit of fame came when he signed an exclusive development deal with Disney. He was performing a weekly stand-up act in numerous comedy clubs throughout Los Angeles. He had appearances on the sitcoms Hardball, and News Radio and began hosting hit TV shows such as Fear Factor. In 2011, he had a part in the movie Zookeeper. He has amassed four MMA Personality of the Year Awards and two Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards for Best TB Announcer under his belt.

He began is now incredibly famous podcast in 2012 and his interviewed over 1,500 celebrities including Elon Musk, Miley Cyrus, Jamie Foxx and many others. In 2020 he executed a deal to move his show over to Spotify where he stands to make a reported $100 million dollars.
